Danone North America, a leader in the dairy and plant-based food industry, manages a diverse portfolio of beloved brands across 23 categories. With a mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible, Danone faced significant challenges in optimizing their planogram processes. The complexity of managing over 4,000 unique planograms, coupled with the intricacies of different merchandising styles for dairy and plant-based products, necessitated a solution that could streamline operations, reduce manual labor, and enhance efficiency.

Prior to engaging with Cantactix Solutions, Danone's category management team grappled with extensive manual processes that consumed thousands of man-hours and extended project timelines.

Complexity of Categories

Over 4,000 unique planograms required manual updates, leading to 4,000 man-hours or approximately 70 business days of work.

The team managed only 9 planograms per person per day, resulting in burnout and a strained work-life balance, especially around peak periods like the 4th of July holiday.

Throughout the building process, assortment and/or merchandising decisions would change, which resulted in reworking already completed planograms.
